Why I Do This Work:

As a self-identified late bloomer, I believe it is never too late to become your fullest and truest self. After leaving my evangelical faith community, I struggled to find my purpose and identity. I wrestled with my sexuality, working to unlearn the oppressive messaging of purity culture I had internalized for many years. I understand firsthand how lonely and isolating it feels to search for your own identity buried under decades of shame and repression.

My personal experiences led me to desire cultivating a safe space for others to explore and connect with themselves. I believe there is transformative power in your most true self being seen and witnessed. My hope for you is to stand firm in your identity and feel empowered showing up as your authentic self both independently and in relationship. Together, we can walk through the turbulent emotional journey and celebrate the victories along the way.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and am in process of completing my master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy at Lewis & Clark College. In between, I built a career in winemaking in our very own Willamette Valley.

How I Do This Work:

I lead with curiosity and warmth and I am not afraid of being silly and laughing alongside you! While we will explore and work through your struggles, I also want to learn about your interests and passions. I take a collaborative approach and believe that you are the expert on your own life. I provide a supportive container while also gently nudging you toward greater self-awareness and growth. Above all, I prioritize building a human relationship based on trust and care.

I work from a systemic orientation and acknowledge the impact of relational, familial, and societal systems. I draw from Attachment Theory and utilize Narrative and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Together, we can identify maladaptive patterns of interaction and implement changes that better serve you and your relationships. I am particularly drawn to working with folks who are experiencing the impacts of purity culture, religious trauma, sexual shame and anxiety, and identity exploration.

A bit about me as a human: I spend most of my free time running (or thinking about running), playing with my scruffy dog, and searching for the best almond croissant in the city. I love to read, watch women’s soccer, and sit on my couch with a pint of ice cream. I grew up in Houston, Texas but have been lucky to reside in the Pacific Northwest since 2019.
