Note: We are not currently hiring. You are welcome to apply in case we have openings in the future. Thank you for your interest!
We are excited to add to the Empowered Fulfillment Therapy team! We are seeking motivated, honest, compassionate, & reliable clinicians to provide individual, couples/relationship, and sex therapy services to adult clients.
Here at Empowered Fulfillment Therapy, we value honesty, transparency, authenticity, and integrity. This means that we will be open with you about our financial breakdown (i.e. what you get paid and what the business makes), our goals, and our resources for supporting you. We believe that silence around business and finances is a tool of oppression & we work to challenge the inherent power dynamic between employers and employees so you can have a voice in your work life. We always strive to be in alignment with our integrity and want the same in our clinicians.
We are not into grind culture and over-working. We will do our best to make this a work environment in which you feel nourished and fulfilled. We want you to work with clients you really want to work with and to have time to rest and care for yourself. We want work to only be a small part of your life, but hopefully a good part!
Clinician Role (Pre-Licensed or Licensed)
Hours: You get to choose your weekly client hours between 15-22 sessions per week based on your capacity and what you want to earn! You also get to create your own schedule, with the parameter of two weekdays with evening slots or one weekend day.

We handle all of the marketing to fill your caseload and the back-end admin tasks.
We cover your malpractice insurance.
We have worker’s compensation insurance.
We will pay for your supervision if you need it for licensure and pay for monthly consultation for licensed providers (we’ll pay outside providers for this so you don’t have to worry about your boss being your clinical supervisor too). We cover sex therapy group supervision that counts towards AASECT hours.
We offer paid sick time (40 hours per year; 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked).
We offer a 1K training stipend per year.
We offer you the same rate of pay as a full fee session for one reduced fee client per 10 weekly sessions.
We offer trainings (both internally & from outside instructors).

We provide a supportive team dynamic where you will have plenty of support from colleagues & can build community.
Enrollment & automated contributions to an IRA via Oregon Saves each pay period (not yet offering matching).
We do not have a healthcare stipend or retirement matching yet. We’re hoping to add a health stipend in 2025 as our practice grows but for now are focusing on paying well and offering flexibility.

Who is a good fit?
-
Independent folks.
We are a practice that aims to give you your space. We aim to maintain a culture of community & connection, but we want to honor your capacity for socializing and will offer ways to connect with colleagues on your own terms.
We don’t want to micromanage you. We have systems set up that you’ll need to follow to make all of our lives easier, but are down to adapt so your workflow feels good for you. Outside of the basics, we want to trust you to do your thing.
-
Sex positive & socially just oriented people.
Because this practice began as a sex therapy practice, we center sex positivity as an important value. Whether you’re working with clients who come into therapy for a sex therapy concern or not, sex impacts everyone’s life in some way & we want to have a team of therapists who aren’t afraid to engage in these discussions with clients.
We’re a good fit for providers who center social justice as a whole, as we work with clients of various marginalized identities/experiences & want them to be met with clinicians who don’t need to be educated by them or who won’t engage in macro or micro-aggressions.
-
Those who want smaller caseloads & flexibility.
Burnout is real in this field & we want to support you in having a sustainable caseload. This means we want to help you work with your ideal clients (it’s super helpful if you know who those people are) and we want to be flexible so you can work according to your capacity and needs.
Who is not a good fit?
-
Very social or extroverted folks who want that to be a part of their work environment.
The reality is that we’ll all be working in totally separate places since we’re currently mostly virtual. While we certainly encourage community building with colleagues, it likely won’t meet the needs of someone who has a higher social capacity or wants lots of in person interaction with a team.
-
People who really want to be in private practice but are too scared or plan to start one in a few years.
If you want to be in private practice but just feel too scared to take the leap, we really want to encourage you to pursue business coaching so you can build the life and business you truly want for yourself. You can do it! We don’t want fear of the unknown to be what holds you back. Taylor actually offers business coaching for private practice owners and would be happy to help you get started!
If you want to have a private practice in the near future, we want you to pursue it and will totally offer resources, tools, & encouragement but we aren’t the right employer for you. We are a good option for those who want private practice perks but don’t have an interest in the business side of running a private practice.
We spend a lot of time and money to onboard new clinicians and fill their caseloads. We pay a higher than typical rate, which means the business makes less (which is 100% worth it), but we end up being in a hole if people leave quickly. Please be nice to us and be honest about your career hopes.
-
People who need lots of guidance and support.
Because we are really looking for independent workers and don’t have a lot of capacity or interest in micromanaging, we just won’t be a good fit for those who are really desiring lots of guidance, support, and help. We are certainly there for you whenever you need us, but we want to mostly trust you to do your thing with some occasional check ins to make sure all is going well. If you’re looking for more hands on support, you may want to check out some larger practices or agencies who have more folks on the team who can meet that need.
